All aboard the steam train of that broad church they call ‘roots’, potentially calling at Traditional and Contemporary Folk, Celtic, Americana, Bluegrass, Mountain Music, Balkan and Nordic! Request stops welcome and specials including featured albums/artists and occasional live guests. Our mission? To challenge people’s perceptions of ‘folk’ and ‘roots/acoustic’ music, and introduce new and old music for those that like their music just a little less mainstream. As somebody once said ‘..if you listen to the show, you’ll probably hear something you know and love and also something new that you don’t know – but you’ll definitely love that too’.
