Community Tree Planting Day

Community Tree Planting Day at Laughton Greenwood, the community woodland near Hailsham. On Sunday 30th November, families and volunteers are invited to help plant hundreds of trees, with children’s crafts and hot soup at lunchtime. It’s free to join — just sign up at Ticketsource or on the Laughton Greenwood website. Sessions at 10am and 1pm — come and plant a tree for the future.
Aming to plant 500 trees of 20 different varieties, to recreate English native woodland. The trees will also add colour and variety to the wood, providing fruits and berries for the birds. It is a great event for all the family, remember to bring your spade.
Please dress warmly and comfortably and bring snacks and drinks. There will be an offering of warm soup for lunch at 1pm so bring a cup/bowl and spoon. Teas and Coffees will be served all day.
