Dig for Victory
August 7 @ 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Dig for Victory returns to Cowbeech after a Covid-19 enforced break. Faced with shortages and steeply rising prices, we can help ourselves by making our gardens more productive and a part of the event showcases the efforts of local people to grow the best vegetables and flowers, conjure up the finest baked and preserved products and exhibit their best craftwork. Live music will be performed throughout the show by The Warbleton Brass Band, alternating with vocals from Rosie-Ann Page. For animal lovers there will be a Companion Dog Show where proud owners will be showing off their cherished pets for all to appreciate.
For all visiting a vital fact to remember is that the event is staged in a field and a pub garden where the internet banking is practically non-existent so it will be essential to bring some cash. The Hog Roast, BBQ & Refreshments will be able to accept Debit Cards so nobody should become faint from hunger or parched with thirst. To mark the relaunch in this year of the Queen’s Jubilee there will be no entry charge, but any voluntary donations will be very welcome. Off-road parking available at no charge.
